Health Savings Accounts
Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are increasingly being offered by employers. These plans may be a great way to save for future expenses. Send us your questions on HSA plans and HSA Cards and we will try to answer your questions.
An HSA is tax-preferred savings account that allows consumers to pay for medical expenses through money deposited either by an employer or employee or a combination of the two. There are limitations on the amount that can be deposited. An HSA must be accompanied by a qualified high deductible plan (QHDP).
Go to our Qualified Medical Expenses section http://americanhealthadvocate.com/qualified-medical-expenses/ to learn more about what is eligible to paid out of one's HSA.
Furthermore, you can go to the American Health Advocate Health Store to make purchases for items that are likely covered under your HSA.
